The story goes that in 1670 Galleani was commissioned by Duke Carlo Emanuele II to set up a new spinning mill where spinning would be practiced using industrial methods by exploiting the driving force of water to activate machinery that twisted the silk thread using hydraulic routes. Today the commercial real estate development operation takes its cue from the historicity of the places modified by the modernity of the municipal car parks already created next to them.
