Castellaro is an Italian town in the province of Imperia in Liguria. The municipal area is located along the ridge of the hinterland of Taggia. The surroundings are covered with olive trees that go up part of the ridge that descends from Mount Faudo. Between the peaks of the territory, Monte Sette Fontane (781 m) and Monte Rocche (213 m). The toponym Castellaro would resume the hypothetical presence of a primitive pre-Roman fortification which, according to some suppositions, could have occupied the hill on which the castle and the subsequent church of San Pietro in Vincoli were later built. A hilltop town; on top of the hills overlooking the Ligurian coast at just under 300 meters above sea level. Castellaro dominates among the silver olive trees of the plateaus around us and the endless cultivations of palm trees. Two completely different greens, one more dull and one more bright. Castellaro which has grown up and, from a handful of houses, has become an elegant and well-kept citadel, colored by the gray of history and by the soft and typical colors of Liguria. What strikes you in Castellaro, already from afar, when you see the view, is the beautiful Palazzo Arnaldi of the nineteenth century, a civil architecture built in neo-Gothic style and with a large square in front. In this square today there is a parking lot, a beautiful fountain and a painting dedicated to Mary where the writings in honor of the Madonna of Lampedusa by pilgrims reign. The Palazzo was transformed by the Quaranta family into a real castle and, slowly, the whole town began to develop around it. The apartment located on the first floor, is distributed in the entrance with a view on a large living room, with kitchen and hallway leading to the service. On the mezzanine floor a bedroom and a bathroom. Impressive view of the square from a large balcony. Very suggestive and truly unique context, the result of a very careful renovation. Autonomous LPG heating. Beaches just 10 minutes away, via the cycle path. Positioned on the top of the Ligurian hill immersed in a delightful medieval village. Proximity to the Castellaro Golf resort. For information: GIEFFE PATRIMONI Real Estate Advisor, Turin – London – Alba – Milan – Rome. (+39) 011 / 76.000.11
