Martinengo Palace in Monforte d'Alba. Terrace on the Langhe. Monforte d'Alba (one of the most beautiful villages in Italy) is an Italian town in the province of Cuneo in Piedmont. It is part of the 11 Barolo production municipalities. The name derives from the walls of the castle that surrounded the top (Mons Fortis) and the medieval town. Located just 100 km from Turin-Caselle airport and 18 km from Alba and Cherasco, the historic center of Monforte is arranged like a fan perched around the ancient bell tower and today has a totally new look thanks to the exceptional restorations that have involved many noble and bourgeois palaces.
