The properties are located within the walls of the former "Montafia Castle" of which today only the imposing surrounding walls and some remains of the bastions around the villa built in the 1960s can be observed. Destroyed and rebuilt several times over the centuries, it was described in the eighteenth century as a rich stately home with terraces and precious gardens. On the top of the embankment surrounded by the walls, there is the one-storey stately villa which is very well distributed in its rooms. Uninhabited for at least twenty years, the structure is in a good state of conservation, there are no obvious traces of mold and/or humidity, there are no cracks or lesions. The systems and internal finishes as well as the windows date back to the years of its construction therefore, although all functioning, they are dated and will need to be restored. Below and belonging to the stately villa, there is a building built at the beginning of the last century which was intended as a residence for the caretakers and partly as a warehouse. This building is in good static-structural condition, the roof is almost new. The systems, windows and internal finishes need to be redone. Inside the estate there are also two basement rooms, made with ancient vaulted brick structures that the property used as a warehouse and garage. Under the perimeter embankment, on the western side and accessible from outside the walls, there are six underground cellars, all with independent access but communicating with each other. All the land is included in the perimeter of the walls and is mainly arranged on three terraces. Finally there is a "bean" shaped swimming pool which is currently abandoned, but which can be put back into operation with a minimum of renovation work.
